Winning Ways With Words

Tania Tytherleigh from WorkPlace Coach showed us how to:

- learn how talk about your business in a way that will interest, impress and entice?

- discover how to define your unique edge and deliver this to another person, a group or even a crowd?

- boost the effectiveness of your networking activities?

- leverage your time in order to increase your customer or client base?

- swap one-to-one 'sales' meetings to one-to-many sales opportunities?

This session was totally interactive and gave participants a lot of great information to take away to start using straight away.

Speed Networking Night #2                                                                                                                                              May 2010

Back by popular demand - you asked for it so we brought it to you! Speed Networking #2!

The Speed Networking night is a real opportunity to make some new connections that will help you build your business referral base.

Speed Networking involves people meeting each other one at a time for a short interval and then moving on to the next person in line. It’s a fairly structured way to meet other business people and creates a different environment to the usual networking events.

It’s a bit like speed dating with one key difference. The purpose of Speed Networking is not to eliminate potential business contacts. Rather it is to meet a wide variety of people, even those with whom you may think you have nothing in common with, and form a connection that may at some stage develop into a mutually beneficial business relationship.

Member Forum and Christmas Dinner                                        November 2009

The purpose of a forum is to  understand what members want from the network who we are and what we are about, reflect on where we've come from and where we want to go.   This was your chance to have your say, be heard and contribute to the future of the network.  BYO Opinions, ideas and constructive feedback.  Our members' forum was facilitated by Nigel (Will) Polak.  The boundaries framework he used took us through this process and was an application of an extremely valuable framework that can be applied in our own businesses and lives.

Nigel is a Life Coach, lawyer, psychotherapist, mediator and philosopher (of sorts). He is a father, friend and lover. He's a window onto a world of unforeseen possibility. At the core of his life and practice is the willingness to live authentically. He believes that authenticity requires an honest awareness of one's self and one's role in relationships with other people. His personal philosophy is: maximise my own choices while maximising the choice of the maximum number of people around me. And the universe is a very BIG place!! His philosophy and coaching includes: finding your true path and purpose (however you choose to define it); living authentically with others and assisting others to resolve 'conflicts' in their lives; living in harmony with nature; and tapping into the outermost possibilities of authentic living.
